Sophea went to live at an Assembly of God orphanage when she was six years old. She had lost her mother and father and only had a brother who was unable to care for her. When she was 18 years old, the director of the orphanage called us and asked us if we had a job for Sophea. He said that all she had ever wanted to do was to work in a Church with children.
Sophea was the first dorm mother that we hired. She has been with us since we started Heritage House. She came to live at the house the day before we got children. She is great at playing games with the children, singing songs with them and just hanging out. Due to growing up in an orphanage, she knows many of the issues that the children struggle with and is able to encourage them through them.
