We received a call about Yaht from a Khmer pastor in his home village.  Yaht’s mother had 10 children when her husband left her.  His mother found another man willing to marry her, but not take care of the children.  She left the children with anyone who would take them and was last heard from living near the border of Thailand.  Three months later, we received a call that someone had located three of Yaht’s siblings.  That day we went to pick up Coy, Krum and Srey Ma.

Coy is the oldest of the Nee children and has the most memories of his childhood with his parents.  He deals with the rejection of his mother and father leaving him and his brothers and sisters.  He is currently in 3rd grade at Hope School and doing well.

Krum is a mature and bright young man who raised his youngest sister, Srey Ma for three years by himself.  They went from house to house trying to find anyone to let them have a place to sleep and to feed them.  He could not read or write when he moved into the house, but is currently being home schooled by the staff and is catching up.

Srey Ma could not talk at three years of age when she came to live at Heritage House.  She is now able to talk and is all smiles.  She spends her day playing with Liet Kanah and playing with her doll.  She is such a peaceful child and enjoys any attention that is shown to her.

Yaht had been passed to several relatives and other people willing to house him for over two years when he finally found a place with the Khmer pastor.  The pastor was raising three children of his own and several other children and was unable to financially take care of Yaht.  He asked if we would be willing for Yaht to come live with us at Heritage House.  Yaht is currently in 2nd grade at Hope School and doing really good.

Please pray that all of these children will know Jesus as their Savior and come to the understanding that their Heavenly Father will never abandon them.
